I have made it across Texas!!  I can hardly believe it myself.  A pretty good day of riding, crossed the panhandle of Oklahoma, and am now in Springfield, Colorado.  I have to say I'm fairly pumped.  Springfield is kind of an interesting town.  The hotel I'm in is pretty interesting, and the downtown has a certain rustic quality.  According to the waitress at the Trail's End restaurant, the drive-in is actually open in the summer.  I haven't seen an open drive-in in about 20 years.
