Day 42 - 5/13/04
Seeley Lake, MT to Columbia Falls, MT
102 miles

The ride today was mostly downhill and partially with the wind, so I made pretty good time.  I think this is the first time I've gone over 100 miles in a day since I left Texas.  Today was a very scenic ride.  First I went past a series of small lakes, and then into a valley with spectacular mountains off to the east.  I'm now just SE of the entrance to Glacier National Park and less about 60 miles from the border.  Unfortunately the main road that crosses the park isn't fully open yet.  I think tomorrow I'll rent a car and drive around the park for the day.  If the weather holds out I should be in Canada by the end of the weekend.  I ate tonight at A&W, haven't seen one for many years; root beer floats are yummy.
