Day 43 - 5/14/04
Columbia Falls, MT to Whitefish, MT
12 miles

I rode into Whitefish, where I could rent a car, and then toured around Glacier National Park for the day.  The park was quite scenic.  Unfortunately the main mountain pass, Going-to-the-Sun road, is not fully open.  So, I drove as far as I could up the western side, then drove all the way around the park and up the eastern side as far as I could go.  The eastern side of the mountains have more snow and are more barren than the west side.  It was cloudy most of the day and rained part of the time, but it was still great.  If the weather holds I should enter Canada over the weekend.
