Route

Highway 6 from Houston to College Station, ~90 miles

Day 2

Route

Highway 6 from College Station to Waco, ~70 miles, this turns into FM 484

Take left on Business 77, La Salle st.

Right on University Parks, FM 434 to Texas Ranger Museum and Texas Sports Hall of Fame (next door to each other)

See below to get back to Hwy 6.

Head due west to I-35.   Some hotels at 4th and 5 th St., Cheaper ones at exist 334, 17th St. and freeway (to S):   Comfort Inn, Super 8, and La Quinta .

Or, for camping, take University Parks West to Herring, then S., turns into Cobbs, then Bosque.   Take a Rt. On 6, cross Lake Waco into Speegleville Park for camping.

Day 3

Route

Continue on Hwy 6, ~75 miles to Hico.

After that another 15-20 along 6 to Dublin , or same distance N to Stephenville.

From Stephenville, w. on CR 8 to get back to Hwy 6.

At Carbon, take W FM 2526 to N US 183, which then turns back into Hwy 6 after crossing I-20.
